What is a Visitor Visa?
Foreign residents can visit Canada as a visitor, and for this, they need to get approval for their visitor visa. This visit can be a family visit, a business visit, a visit as a tourist, or based on compassionate grounds. A visitor visa or a temporary resident visa is an authorized document that is attached to the passports of
foreign nationals. A visitor visa is also a requirement if Canada is mere a transit country, and the foreign residents have another final destination.
How long can you stay
As a visitor, the foreign nationals can stay up to 6 months; however, this staying period is in the hands of the border services officer. The officer will specify a date in the passport before which the visitor must leave Canada. Foreign residents can also apply for a Canadian super visa which allows multiple entries into Canada for up to 7 years. (Recently updated)
